Foundation Directors

NaShantá Fletcher - President

Schaumburg Township Library Foundation, Founding Member 2025

NaShantá Fletcher is a creative professional and longtime northwest-suburban resident who has built her career around storytelling, community, and design. She is the Design Director at Cottage Door Press, a local independent children’s book publisher, where she helps bring stories to life through video and digital content. Before moving into publishing, she spent sixteen years in broadcast television as an Emmy-nominated visual storyteller.

NaShantá is also a children’s book illustrator with titles published by Scholastic, including picture books written by musician and author Divinity Roxx. Across all her creative work — illustration, video production, and design — she is driven by a love for imagination and creating meaningful experiences for young readers and families.

Her long-time connection to the Schaumburg Township District Library has shaped her commitment to supporting accessible learning, creativity, and community engagement.

“It’s an honor to serve as President of the Schaumburg Township Library Foundation. For years, the library was my ‘office away from home,' a safe, welcoming place where I could work, recharge, and feel supported. My son also grew up exploring the township’s branches, discovering books and programs that sparked his curiosity. I’ve seen firsthand how the library strengthens our community, and I’m excited to help expand the resources and opportunities that make it such an essential and inspiring place for everyone.”

Julie Bosshart - Treasurer

Schaumburg Township Library Foundation, Founding Member 2025

Julie Bosshart is a lifelong resident of Schaumburg Township with deep roots in the community. She earned her accounting degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign and is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.). She currently works full-time as Controller for a manufacturing company.

Active in local service for many years, Bosshart served on the Schaumburg Township District Library Board from 2011 to 2023. Her professional background in finance and long-time community involvement help her bring both experience and enthusiasm to her role with the Foundation.

“It’s an honor to be a founding member of the Schaumburg Township Library Foundation, where I serve as Treasurer. I wholeheartedly believe in the Foundation’s mission to spark curiosity and enrich our community. Through generous donations and partnerships, we will support creative programs, expand resources, and inspire a love of reading and learning for people of all ages. I am excited to see how the foundation will grow and support the library and community.”

Annie Miskewitch - Secretary

Schaumburg Township Library Foundation, Founding Member 2025

Annie Miskewitch began working in public libraries as a shelver more than 30 years ago. She worked her way up through several support and professional roles, with the majority of her career at Chicago Public Library. Annie came to Schaumburg Township District Library in June of 2017 as the Deputy Director and was then appointed by the Library Board of Trustees in December 2019 as the Library's fifth Executive Director.

Annie feels it's a great honor to serve this community and to work with dedicated staff that she has come to know over the years. Annie's mom was also a librarian and introduced to her very early on a love of libraries, reading, service and community. Her grandmother was a children's book author, so she's been surrounded by books and creativity her whole life. Annie knows the power libraries have in making a difference in one's life, and it is truly a passion of hers to see how Schaumburg Library makes a difference daily.

“Being a founding member of the Schaumburg Township Library Foundation is deeply meaningful to me. I’ve seen how our library changes lives every day, and I’m honored to help ensure those opportunities continue to grow. This work is personal as libraries have shaped my family, my childhood, and my career. Serving on the Foundation allows me to help others feel that same sense of belonging and possibility.”
