Libraries are more than just books. We’re more than the programs we host and a space to gather. While it’s impossible to list everything we do, please know that your support ensures we can offer countless services to those in your community who may need them.
A donation to Schaumburg Library helps spark inspiration, curiosity, discovery and joy in our community.
To make a monetary donation, please do so here.
The Library does not accept direct donations of physical items such as books, DVDs, CDs, etc. We do have a vendor partnership with Better World Books (BWB) and are able to accept donated print materials as set by their guidelines. Donations can be dropped off in the BWB bin that is located outside at our Central Location.
Note: If the bin is full, please return later. Donations that are left outside the bin are ruined by the weather and cannot be used.
If you would like to donate an item with local historical interest that may enhance our local history collection, please contact our Executive Director.
Donations of any amount are appreciated and truly make a difference as we work to provide relevant information, resources and services for all ages in a safe and friendly environment.
We are excited to announce the new Donor Wall at Central Library. With a donation of $500 or more, your name will be proudly displayed on the wall.
Thanks to the Schaumburg Library Art Committee and Friedman Fine Art, this vibrant new installation replaces our old donor wall in the main vestibule. This impactful project highlights past and present donors with their names engraved into a colored brick, perfectly matching our updated building and color scheme.
If you would like to donate, please do so here.
In the event the Library does arrange to accept the donation of a physical item, please know that any donated items may someday be sold or disposed of in the best interest of the Library.
We appreciate and respect each donation and no donation will be disposed of in a careless manner.
